Local tailored training - Our training is
always held at a local venue in your region. We also tailor our training for each
session regarding changes in legislation and current issues.
Working jointly with the NUPFC - we are very proactive in supporting our carers and ensuring our carers safety.
Carers forums twice a year - we offer carers forums twice a year where the carers can all meet each other.

24/7 Support - support is
provided by the staff members of 5Fostering who can offer advice and reassurance. They
will guide you through any difficulties you are having and will be at the end
of the phone 24/7.
Support meetings - As well as
social events, carers have the opportunity to share their expertise with other
carers at support meetings. We are looking at offering separate support meetings for parent and child placements.
Respite breaks - We understand
that breaks here and there are essential for every carer. Each carer will
receive 14 nights paid respite per year.
Placement through careful matching - To create the
greatest opportunity for the child or young person and carer to be successful
we carefully match them together.
A Professional Framework for careers - We welcome all
carers, new and experienced. We provide relevant training and remuneration for
volunteer ‘Buddies’ through to more specialist Carers.
FUN !!! - Fostering is a
rewarding and fulfilling career which makes a fantastic difference to people’s
lives. We will ensure that there will be frequent opportunities during
training, community building and social events to relax and not take ourselves
too seriously; to relieve some of the inevitable stress of our privileged
roles.
